As the proud owners of two cockapoos, we soon discovered that the increase from one dog to two meant that even greater care needed to be taken when choosing our dog friendly holiday accommodation. Now an important part of our family, Freya and Frankie always join us on our travels in the UK, and from 2027, Europe.
‘Frankie goes to…’ is a play on Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Frankie (pictured left) initially reported back on the places we stay, with Review Blogs published after each visit. As Frankie is well beyond her teenage years, and finds she has no time for writing blogs, it’s now left to me, with Freya and Frankie enjoying the fun. Little Cottage, Shipton under Wychwood, The Cotswolds
A traditional Cotswold cottage, located near the historical market town of Stow-on-the-Wold. With footpaths to neighbouring villages, an array of boutique shops and restaurants, apparently it’s a highlight of the Cotswolds. Pre Christmas retreat for a few days.

We’re planning a three-week driving tour of Europe for the first time, experiencing all the red tape that accompanies two companion cockapoos. We’ll be taking The Shuttle to Calais and driving from France into Belgium, then on to Germany, Switzerland and Austria, with the final route taking us back through France. We’ll be sharing our adventures with hints and tips along the way!
